Our story

The journey to creating Retee began in my childhood, watching my mum craft her own perfect skincare solutions. She would mix creams with a dollop of shea butter, always believing that no single product had everything she needed. I loved helping her find that balance, and unknowingly, I began building a lifelong passion for skincare.

In 2017, my world shifted. My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I became her caregiver. Her health became my priority, and I became acutely aware of what she consumed and applied to her skin. I wanted products that were clean, gentle, and trustworthy—nothing harsh or overly complicated. But finding skincare that aligned with these values was challenging.

Then, in 2021, I faced my own breast cancer diagnosis. This life-changing moment made me even more intentional about the products I used, not just for my mum but for myself. Ever since, I’ve committed to using only clean, safe, and nourishing skincare that I can trust completely.

That’s when the idea to go big with Retee truly came to life—a name derived from my mum’s first name, “Ireti,” meaning hope. At Retee, we embrace the power of simplicity and transparency.
